attitudes

your attitude towards life defines not only who you are, but your values also.

whatever it is that has been bugging you, doesn't seem so big anymore, does it?
if only we all could have the spirit that this little boy has!

(a forward i got from pops earlier this week)

i kept all the negative nancy's out of my head friday/saturday and had a most-excellent long run! a positive attitude definitely goes a long way (i know, i could afford to work on mine sometimes). happy weekending!

  12. Negative Nancy's: gone! Thank you for that post! There are so many little things that we all worry and complain about, it just takes a minute to stop and think how fortunate to have such a 'normal' life, compared to others. It's one of those, "stop and smell the roses" type of situation and how we should just enjoy life as it is and forget about the little things.

    I conclude with the following:
"Don't sweat the petty stuff but don't pet the sweaty stuff!"

  16. This was perfect timing. I'm having a HUGE pity party for myself right now...over many reasons & facets of my life. I should just 'suck it up' and move on...

  21. I had a fairly successful week based largely on positive thinking too. I've been working on some meditation before runs to clear my mind of external stresses before my runs.

Sometimes I wish I had multiple pairs of legs like that kid. Wouldn't it be great to trade out your tired legs after a long run for your fast legs to run an interval session?
