stylin' and profilin'

stacy and clinton, er, amy lauren and matt tagged me with the 'stylish' blogger award. i feel i am devaluing the award though. i mean... i am just now making an effort to get dressed for work as though i (somewhat) care. aka, attempting to cover my wife beater base layer. who knows how long this will last.

to fulfill the requirements of this prestigious award, i am doing 7 stylish things instead of random ones:

1) ho-licious shirt i've never worn. i bought it a couple years ago and don't ever go clubbing, so i'm not really sure why i bought it. white/blue nike tank not included.

don't mind my dirty mirror.

2) oldddd clothes that i haven't worn it years. thanks to my purge-goal they are now keeping someone fashionable warm for $0.50 and no longer at the bottom of my drawers.

gap sweaters circa 2000
please tell me you had one too

3) i also goodwill'd clothes i never should have worn to begin with. they reminded me of the redhead and her "former" wild girl days.

isn't that a long skirt
hollister, in case you're shopping for a hoochy skirt

4) this gem is circa 1999. i am pretty sure i haven't worn it since then. i swear i'm not a hoarder.

laundry day, hence the sheet-less bed

5) going old school. stole this one off facebook. basically i have always looked cool. especially in middle school.

6) still stylin' in the present.

another one of my hot outfits worn during ragnar florida keys

7) how can you deny my fashion? you know you want to be my friend.

i was 'deb' from napoleon dynamite

now i know you are all inspired to post your most fashionable moments too. i tag everyone.

  1. I am ashamed that I got the Stacy and Clinton reference.... I wish there was a way to unsubscribe only from TLC.

  2. Oh my God. yes, i might have had a few horizontally striped clothes in my day (WTH were we thinking??!)

i can see that watching the show Hoarders is definitely having an effect on you, much like it did on me. When I first moved in my place, though, I was afraid to watch it. Now I'm embracing it again! Makes me feel like compared to some of those folks, i am pretty healthy!

Love the clubbing top, by the way! (Yeah, I have a few of those too, because you know, I go clubbing every week in my very exciting life....LOL)

  3. Haha! I watched Hoarders last night for the sole purpose of getting motivated to clean some of this crap out around the house. I'll have to find my embarrassing outfits to take pics of ;)

  6. Haha, thanks for doing the survey, I like the way you answered all the questions! I also love your Virginia is for Runners t-shirt. I'm thinking about running a half there later this year, I should really look for a shirt like that online, haha :).

Yup... I had a striped sweater like that from the Gap around 2000 too! Freshman year of high school :).

  7. Hahaha, I am glad I'm your friend :). And Ironman's comment is priceless! I was on the exercise bike yesterday for like eternity and it was a What Not to Wear marathon, I was glued. I mean, that's so much more educational than the Hitler marathon on the History Channel, which I watched for a brief 4 minutes and had to switch cuz it was too depressing. Just like riding the bike! :)

Ok, maybe I'll post something in the fashion range...but more so, I think I need to show just how many pairs of Nike Tempo shorts I embarrassingly own.

  8. OK, I love the skirts. I would absolutely wear those. Honestly, I think that there should be a girl clothes exchange place, where you bring the clothes you don't wear anymore, and pick others up.

  9. HAHAHA! That ragnar outfit is awesome! I recently tossed out about 20 pounds of clothing, some circa 1998. It felt great. I took it to a recycler and now can actually see what's in my closet.

  19. You totally shoulda brought the "ho-licious" shirt to Key West. It would have fit in the limited luggage and would have fit in on Duval street. Matches the compression socks quite nicely I say :P.

  27. Did anyone in the history of the world ever look cool in middle school? And YES, I did own a Gap sweater like that!

    ReplyDelete
  28. oh my god, i love this. i definitely styled more than one of those striped gap sweaters, and my sister owned that very same blue hollister skirt (i had one as well, although i believe it was more of a tweed - going for the naughty schoolgirl look, apparently) lol!

    ReplyDelete
  29. So funny! Am I the only one who noticed the dollar bill laying on the skirts? Ha!
