we practiced, got ready, and then it was show time...
the musicians were playing
the people were seated
the bridal party processed
i rolled up in style
i walked with pops
veil & cord filipino tradition
and then it was official (and hot)
josh became a mets fan
umm, this was supposed to be like the cover of runaway bride ...
we danced. once.
my baby cousin played on his ipad
we ate cake (well, i ate rice krispy treat)
mingled into the night with friends and family
had fireworks
people danced as the band played
one of josh's g-men gave the band a break
sparkler send-off

Taking the down tree as I type this. Of course the township doesn't collect them for a few more weeks, so I'll just lean it against the side of the house.
ReplyDeleteWow, Best. Post. Ever.
Nice facial expression from a not-so-eager Mets fan.
How freaking long did it take you to plan all this? Like 8 years? You packed in so much cool, BIG stuff and didn't even overlook Rice Krispie Treats. Incredible.
So you're right. July wasn't THAT long ago. Thanks for sharing the day!
Wow, look at all those wonderful pictures Lindsay. I am so happy for you. Now that is a wedding!

ReplyDeleteThe Mets? Seriously? Poor guy. That is love :) haha
We had fireworks at our wedding (sort of). We got married on July 2nd so a couple of the nearby townships were doing their 4th of July fireworks and we could see them over the trees.
Love all the pics. Esp. love the pic of you walking with your dad, the sparkler send off and the Runaway Bride!!! Best shoes ever.

ReplyDeleteLet me just say that you may have jumped to the top of my favorite bloggers....not b/c of what you have written or are giving away or that you comment on my blog BUT because there is a METS hat sighting (happy about it or not it is still a sighting.)
ReplyDeleteI am a HUGE Mets fan. I lived in New York for 34 years prior to moving to Dallas and still love the Mets (although it was cool to see the Rangers beat the Yankees and go to the World Series.)
That is pure awesome-ness right there.

As usual, those photos were gorgeous! Not only was I surprised at the beauty of the location but also that SC has hills!
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite photo from this series was either the one at night of the house on top of the hill lit up or you sticking your tongue out while walking up the aisle!
