Those are great pics, and you look great, not sure what you're worried about! You look like the strong runner than you are! It's funny how you see your running gait while looking at race pics... :/
ReplyDeletePeople are so crazy when it comes to their race pics! I think you look great and strong. PS-didn't see any cottage cheese!! On the other hand, I will never post mine!!
ReplyDeleteYou look fast even in pictures.
ReplyDeleteOMG, you are so tough on yourself. Pics are great! LOVE the arm warmers, in fact, love the entire outfit. You have your game face on. Good.
ReplyDeletegreat pics! do we all dislike our own race pics? 'every one else looks normal, but..my god! look at me' sort of scenario...
ReplyDeleteyou look fine..a fantastic marathon to race in...
You are too critical! Aren't we all though... I do love the pics to see running analysis. Yours with the heel strike, mine I look like I am hunched down. you looked pretty speedy to me!
ReplyDeleteLove the commentary. ;) Really, who looks good in running pics? If you do, you aren't running fast enough...or that's what I tell myself. If you're rolling from the back heel to the front of your foot, its actually pretty efficient over the course of a marathon. Of course, if you toe off its less efficient :-/ My form is actually pretty similar. I'm pretty good at rolling off the ball of my foot BUT towards the end of NY? I was landing pretty horrifically flat footed. Eep.
ReplyDeleteEither way, hill bounding can do a lot to straighten out your form.
D'oh...that should read if you DON'T toe off its less efficient.
ReplyDeletePics are great. You look like an awesome marathon runner to me. Did you find out if you're running Boston in 2010 yet?
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures Lindsay, you look tough and intense which is just the way you should look. We are always our worse critics but guess what? YOU RAN NYC Marathon, you're awesome!! Do you think you'll do that marathon again?
ReplyDeleteCan I just tell you how wonderful it is to see that a super-speedy kick-ass running ROCKSTAR like you has a heel-strike like me?
ReplyDeleteYou look STRONG!! Love the arm sleeves, too! Great pics, girl!
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures! You look fantastic, I didn't see any cottage cheese.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, those are actually good pics of you! Esp since there's like a billion people who ran the race. You look so focused and fast!
ReplyDeleteWhatever, you look awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos.... LOL @ Where's Waldo. Couldn't spot you in that first one.
Great pictures! Esp. the one of Ryan Hall lol lol
ReplyDeleteLove the pics, thanks for sharing... although I already race stalked most of them! Muahahahah! (Evil laugh) :)
ReplyDeleteI wish I could get a set of photos that are as good as those!
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't care whether I have cottage cheese thighs or not (which by the way, you obviously *don't*), I find short shorts sooooo much more comfortable to race in!
You look so strong and relaxed. And focused! No wonder you PR'd. What a great race!
oh pshhh lindsay be nice to yourself! ;-) you look strong and focused and FAST! cause you are :) great pics!!
ReplyDeleteGiiiirl, what-ever! You are rock solid, looking HAWT! And what's that about flab and cottage cheese? You look awesome! Your body is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how many compliments it takes to begin sounding obsessive and creepy, BUT I'll also note that I love how serious you are - a true marathon face!!!
LOL cottage cheese? you kill me! and btw there is NO cottage cheese to be seen. i love your arm warmers!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your race pictures! You look awesome! Like a serious butt kicking runner!
ReplyDeleteI don't see any cottage cheese!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking of taking the taper down to just one week, but I'm just so scared to experiment with it.
Your running pics are better than mine. I always look constipated. You look athletic and like you mean business. Like the sleeves too. Very cute.
ReplyDeletegreat pics - you look INTENSE!
ReplyDeleteI found you right away, Waldo!
ReplyDeleteYou need to spend this week giving yourself compliments and love!
and pie. :)
Great race pics, you should be very proud! I have a few from my race, but still waiting on the official ones.
ReplyDeleteCongrats again!!
Wow I would never want you to watch my gait, if you think your heel strike is bad.. UGH!!
ReplyDeleteAnd Girl try to find the positive, truly!! I think your commentary is FUNNY, but you look great!
Here I am, thinking: Man! She's fast! What a hard-core marathon chica! You were thinking: Cottage cheese, anyone? Made me feel better about my own race-photo self-critiques, but still: Ease up on yourself, woman! Kara Goucher told Women's Running last month that she hates looking at race photos because she runs with "women with incredible bodies." There's a pattern here ...
ReplyDeleteI think we running ladies of all shapes and sizes and paces need to step back and remember to focus on what our bodies can DO, not how they look!
I just found your blog! Congrats on NYC! I love your pics!
ReplyDeleteLindsay!!! Be nice to yourself! You totally rock and you look like an incredibly awesome runner in those pics!
ReplyDeleteI guess if you're running well and pain-free you don't necessarily need to alter the heel-strike. But if you really wanted to change it, I think you'd have to slow down and make a conscious, focused-effort to pay attention to that for many training runs until it becomes second nature.
Thanks for sharing the pictures!
In that first "Where's Waldo" shot I totally picked you out, almost immediately!
ReplyDeleteI know race pics are hard to be smiley, but having read all of your race reports, it did look like you were not happy in those pics - do you remember if you were feeling nauseous during any of them?
Oh, and are you sure it's only that many number of squats and not 2 million? LOL, you crack me up.
Ok,...so I eat cottage cheese every day and I didn't see any in those pictures, but you did get me to laugh out loud on your commentary. You are so funny.
ReplyDeleteIf anything you looked strong out there. My gosh, who's face wouldn't look a little strained running as fast (baby) as you were kicking it out there!
You got a good man to have him take all those picts of you. Good job, Lindsey. Thanks for the photos; I love photos.
Wow - you got lots of good pictures!!!
ReplyDeleteYou sure don't look like you didn't feel well! Great pics! No matter what you say!
ReplyDeleteYou look like a serious runner running seriously...that's the point right?
ReplyDeleteYou look just great Lindsay!!! For real. You look really runner like. Awesome thanks for sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope all is well and you had an awesome Thanksgiving!!!!!
Great pictures...congrats on your awesome race. Have an awesome Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteI see no flab or cottage cheese! You look strong and great!!! Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving. :)
