originally i was thinking about birds to tie in our invitations, or horses as a nod to the year in kentucky, but when i was shopping on etsy last week i came across these and i couldn't resist.
i am not a) losing or b) chasing after a boy! :)
these little runners are made by heather boyd. she was very easy to work with and shipped them out immediately. i am hoping to turn these into christmas ornaments or something after we devour cake; they are too perfect to just be stored away. she also makes little bicyclist figures, hint hint to you cyclists/triathletes out there ;-)
week in review (7/5 - 7/11)
total miles: 13.35 (major fail)
time spent running: ~ 2 hrs 04 mins
avg hr: unknown. still didn't feel like wearing the strap.
avg run pace: 9:21/mile
off days: 5... good lord lindsay.
my new trend: two weeks at 30+ mpw and then 'cutback' to 10-15mpw. wouldn't want to overdo it! technically i only had 4 off days. i biked again on sunday when i slept in and it was too dang hot to attempt a run (i haven't been sleeping well at night, so i cut myself some slack at getting up early -pre sunrise- this weekend). also, my mac got fixed under the warranty. the hard-drive crashed and they couldn't recover anything. thank goodness for backblaze.
sunday (7/11) am bike ride: 27.40 miles, 1:53:40 (still ~14.5 mph)
same route, no improvement.

ReplyDeleteThat's a fantastic way to top a cake.
ReplyDeleteI once photographed a wedding where the bride (a marathoner) wore her favourite running shoes with her dress, instead of heels. Function before fashion I guess!

ReplyDeleteAwesome cake thingy or whatever. I think you have something going on with the whole Christmas tree ornaments thing. Glad to hear you got your mac fixed. What I would do with a cake topper like that is affix it to my car antenna. WhooHoooo! Have a good one Lindsay and best wishes. My wife and I are actually getting married in the PH next year so her family can be there, and so Loredel can have nice PH wedding. I will have to show her this. Hehehe

For our wedding cake (the Mr. made a lil mini one for us at home) then for the guests we took our selves to the local grocery store, bought 10 totally different flavored cakes (raspberry, cookies and cream, choc, vanilla, lemon etc) then we topped them all with different vintage cake toppers(snow white scene, 2peeeps lounging on the beach, dinosaurs, old west, pirates) oh, and who could forget the random Indiana Jones cake...
Those are too cute!! I love them!
