i didn't even break a sweat

well that was pathetic.

after all my waiting and debating over the weather, it started raining and i finally peeled myself off the couch and onto the treadmill.

...for 13 minutes and 30 seconds. i hopped off for no real reason other than i had been telling myself i could take a break (potentially for the bathroom) at a mile and a half. i talked to j for a few minutes and then heard the treadmill shutting off (it readjusts the incline) so i was like, oh well guess i'm done.

too hard to turn it back on, i know.

a big 1.5 miles for today. here's hoping i can stay on schedule for the rest of the week while traveling through the weekend.

in all fairness, technically i had 0 scheduled for today. but i took sunday off so i shoulda ran more...

thursday (3/19) pathetic pm run: 1.5 miles, 13:30 (9:00 avg pace)

  7. I must admit, I completely identify with that story... I'm guilty of the same action. Perhaps I shouldn't say guilty, because I starting to learn that I shouldn't feel "guilty" for things like that. So we'll just call it being "intuitive" and listening to what your body wanted/needed! :-)

  9. dont worry girl... you will get your runs in, and if you dont there is next week!! dont be so hard on yourself when you arent even really in training yet, its time to enjoy the runs! :)

and enjoying runs does NOT happen on the TM. if i planned zero there is no way i would jump on that thing :)

  10. But you had 0 scheduled, so technically you're an overachiever. :)

  12. Eh, don't worry about it! It's your off day anways...so technically you did more than you should! If it was feeling like a chore, then it's probably best to just give it a rest for the day. :)

  14. If it helps any, I ran 1.5 miles on Thursday too! Plus (as an added bonus) your mileage will undoubtedly top mine this week. Of course, I drank waaaaay more margaritas than you did this week. I guarantee that!

  15. I did nothing but drink vodka and tequila last night, so your 1.5 was certainly better than that! :o)

  16. Well, I think we all can relate. 13 minutes... that feels like a lifetime on a treadmill and especially on a day when you just aren't into it. At least you tried, right?

  17. Nice to see you're human! I was beginning to think with all your long runs and fast times that you might be bionic or something! Yes, running a mile and a half DOES qualify as overachieving if you had none scheduled!!
