cookie monster

i did really well with counting my calories for two days, and then friday josh and i made these awful, awful banana-oatmeal-chocolate-chip-cookies (thanks to some inspiration from jess). they were so awful they only lasted until saturday. i know, my self-control is out of this world. i think i would have still liked them even if they were just banana-oatmeal cookies.

later on saturday i went home for my sister's birthday and my mom had homemade ice cream. hello, you can't turn that down. you just can't.

needless to say i blimped right back up...

  2. You mean you ate a few (potassium-packed) banana-(fiberiffic) oatmeal-(antioxidant-rich) chocolate chip cookies? And some (calcium-laden) homemade ice cream? Let's seek out the paranthetical silver linings, here.

  3. Those are healthy cookies - oatmeal and bananas...and I may have just bookmarked them to make soon.

  4. Wow, don't think I would have had much discipline around those cookies either.

  5. LOL! That is too funny.

Mmmm...banana, oatmeal & chocolate chip...what a deadly combination. I still think they trump other cookies in final calorie count, because if one cookie had all that goodness, I wouldn't have to eat three cookies...see?

  6. The weekends are my problem too. I am doing sort of alright during the week and once the weekend is there, all bets are off.

Cookie looked really good... And seriously, there is no way to turn down ice cream. ;-)

  7. Great picture! I wanted to bake today as it is cooler but I didn't. Those cookies look soooo good as the homemade ice cream must have been. It would have been rude to not have any.

  8. Those cookies look amazing! My theory is that cookies and ice cream are absolutely necessary every once in a while, so enjoy them. Have a great week!

  9. Girl - you are too funny. You have just as much discipline as me, zero if there in my house. I do try to maintain a no bake policy, but sometimes "you just gotta" right? :) o'well, life is short! Monday is a new start, once again.

  16. It is against the law to turn down homemade ice cream so you did good by eating it. Plus you have to make your mom happy.

  20. LMFAO!!! I just spit Diet Pepsi all over my laptop!

FWIW, good thing you don't live close to me. Your cookies would have lasted, oh, say, maybe an hour?

  21. Yeah...the cookies do look really good. Hey the bananas in them gave you potassium, look at it that way. that's good for you, right?!
