we ran again a couple days later, same out and back 5-miles. on the second run i got honked at by a big truck, score! we never saw others running, but we also never felt endangered. as with many other islands, there are lots of stray dogs but none chased after us.

somehow i was running slower than molasses pre-honeymoon (and now post-hmoon as well), but on the two honeymoon runs i felt fluid and gazelle-like. le sigh.
At first I read that caption as house with lots of boys and I thought Oh nice! Well maybe not on your honeymoon!
ReplyDeletePics great as always. Stray dogs would creep me out, glad all was okay!
These pictures remind me so much of my honeymoon in Costa Rica. Glad you're having fun!
ReplyDeleteSO you need more honeymooning to get faster:)
ReplyDeleteMaybe you just need to run on a islands with beautiful ocean views. I know a great place if you're still in.
ReplyDeleteI think you need to move to Tahiti so that you can salvage your running career :).
ReplyDeleteWe never ran while we were there, did a lot of swimming though...
ReplyDeleteBeautifuel place & beautiful running pictures. Good cuple, man & woman. Be lucky and enjoy your life!
ReplyDeleteSee you
Looks like a great place to run!
ReplyDeleteNice pics!
I'm pretty tempted to go on a 2nd honeymoon, because I never got honked at by a big truck on my first.
ReplyDeleteOne again, beautiful pics, and continue working your way out of the molasses.
Nice running! Oh and congrats on getting married... I know a little late, but I just discovered the blog! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe trail run yesterday was good. Well, good for me, not so good compared to others, but I take it.
It really seems like there are not so many running bloggers in the area, but maybe we can get the movement going! ;-)
Oh and you should definitely try out Paris Mtn one of these days... it's really pretty and challenging.
such gorgeous pictures!
ReplyDeleteLet's just be on honeymoons all the time!
Great pics, once again. I love the hacking dog -- the expression on the dog's face is priceless. Funny how a change of scenery can really refresh the running... especially, I imagine, if the scenery involves Tahiti!
ReplyDeleteSo, so awesome. I've never encountered a "dog hacking" and I hope that I can keep that record.
ReplyDeleteWhat's the secret to taking pictures while running? I still have no good answer for this.
Hmmm... Honeymoon = Lots of Time With Josh. Honeymoon = Faster Running Times. Therefore, Lots of Time with Josh = Faster Running Times. You aren't already trying to run away from him are you??? :) haha
ReplyDeleteGreat pics and you are definitely not a dork for learning some of the native language!
Hey, that shirt Josh is wearing looks vaguely familiar....hmmmm I think I have one just like it in my closet!!
ReplyDeleteThose pictures are beautiful. Josh certainly has a way with animals, too. :-) (Ruthie misses him, I'm sure.)
What a rave run. Enjoyed the photos Lindsay. You are looking so professional. Can't wait until my rave run outside of PA some where I guess. Take care. Way to go at getting honked at. WhoooHooo
ReplyDeleteOh man - such a beautiful setting for your honeymoon!
ReplyDeleteAll your pics have been drool-worthy. I may be not a little bitter that you didn't pack me in your suitcase (however creepy that might've been).
so jealous of that run.
ReplyDeleteOh, my! I want to go there!!
ReplyDeleteyeah for speedy 'mooning run! :)
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful scenery to run through! I hope your week is off to a great start!
xoxo!
I guess that's a sign that you need to move to the South Pacific?? Thanks for sharing... looks like a gorgeous place to run. or to do anything, really.
ReplyDeleteOh yay you married a runner! Or at least he was smitten enough to go running with you. ;)
ReplyDeleteI could be happy there! Yep!
ReplyDeleteYou should be proud of yourself to be getting in ANY runs on your honeymoon. Nice picts.
ReplyDeletesooo gorgeous. i didn't run once on my honeymoon :)
ReplyDeleteMy wife and I specifically remember stray dogs from our honeymoon too. We even took pictures.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy learning a few words in the native language also. I can say thank you in probably 8-10 languages now. I might just have to run through them in my head before I get the right one out though.
Nice job, running on your honeymoon. I guess you had to since it was so beautiful there and it obviously made you faster!:) I have to agree with ajh, stray dogs would freak me out. Love all the pix!
ReplyDeleteWow. How beautiful. How can I move to this place?
